Google describes their new platform as, "a free and easy-to-use tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence across Google, including Search and Maps. By verifying and editing your business information, you can both help customers find you and tell them the story of your business."

When used correctly, GMB is an important tool to maximize your brand's presence both online and locally. Here are the benefits and reasons why you should use Google My Business in 2019:

 
Increased visibility in search. Before GMB, Google would pull data about your business such as a description, hours, and location by crawling your social channels and website. This caused data to be inaccurate.

With GMB, you’re able to edit your name, address, phone number, hours of operation, days you’re open, and images that represent your products or services.

CTAs with posts - An awesome feature with GMB is the GMB post feature. A GMB post will show for 7 days, so create a post with a clear call-to-action button so customers act when they see your brand online.

Using videos - You can upload images and videos of your brand to your GMB listing! Remember, a video gets more views than images, so if you have some videos, we recommend highlighting those on your account.
